Weekend’s Mouth Watering Deliciousness: Vanilla peach cupcakes with brown sugar cream cheese frosting

As I have mentioned before, I am a huge cupcake lover. These little bites of deliciousness are so simple and easy to make, and in the same time amazing!

So I had some leftover peaches that I needed to use, hence the vanilla peach cupcakes, and what is better than a cream cheese frosting? So here is the simple recipe, that can make even the coldest hearts melt.

Vanilla Peach Cupcakes

3 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 packet unsalted butter, at room temperature
3/4 cup sugar
3/4 cup brown sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla powder
1 1/2 cups yogurt or sour cream
3 large peaches, peeled, cored, and chopped

Sift together the dry ingredients. Cream the butter and sugars together. Add the eggs, one at a time, and then the vanilla. Gently mix in the yogurt. Stir in the dry ingredients and fold in the peach chunks.

Divide the batter evenly among the prepared cupcake liners. Bake for 20- 22 minutes on 175C.

Cream cheese frosting

2  packages cream cheese, softened

1 packet (125 g.)  butter, softened

2 cups sifted confectioners’ sugar

1/2 cub brown sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla

Stir the butter and the cream cheese, untill fluffy. Add in the sugar and the vanilla. Leave in the fridge for 10-15 minutes to thicken.

Daily Salivation: Missoni for Target

Missoni is designing a whole collection for Target. And when I say a whole collection I mean – everything! Clothes, accessories, mensware, kids clothes, shoes, home, stationery, even a bike! So if there is a single reason for me to want to be back in the USof A, escpecially in september will be to browse in Target for the all the zigzagged awesomeness!

The collection (or 88 pieces of it) can be seen on the Target Style Facebook fanpage.

It is all very colorful, zigzagged and fun. A lot of it is too tacky for my taste, especially the clothing, but there are rainboots, an amazing coat and fab home-pieces that I am in picture-love with! Hopefully the quality is as good as it gets, and not like the Mulberry collection for Target, which was pretty plastic. So I will just salivate in waiting for the collection to come out and wish there were Targets at the other side of the ocean. You reading this Target? Think about it 🙂

Carine Roitfeld is Kicking Fashion Butt

Carine Roitfield proves that there is life after Vogue. Despite the crazy move out of the fashion bible, the ex-editrix proves successful and sought after by the industry. I feel like more is written about her now, she is out of French Vogue, than when she was on the top of the structure.

Having already styled and modeled for the Barney’s fall catalogue (above with her son Vladimir Restoin-Roitfeld), she collaborated with photographer Mario Testino, to create the cover story for the September issue of V Magazine. Inspired by Elizabeth Taylor, the sneak peak shows that the cover will be breathtaking. Carine is definitely kicking fashion butt!
