There is nothing better than a gorgeous fashion advert to make your day. It is interesting to see the many faces of fashion, and how creativity can make an ad campaign catchy. Lanvin is one of the best in advertising their creations. The new campaign is a bit psychotic but lots of fun, playing on the notions of love, cool and the pronunciation of the french brand. It cracks me up when the tattooed guys say “A lot of my english friends say Lanvin” (pronounced Lahnven). It needs balls to be able to make fun of yourself and not take it that seriously, especially when you a high fashion brand.
And of course they have a lady with a goose and guy with a rabbit in the video. What fashion video ad can go without a goose I am asking you 🙂
The description of the video is:
“One woman can have many faces.
Edie Campbell explored six sides of her imaginary self, portraying the diversity of the Lanvin woman.”
“A self Portrait. Six different men with diverse points of view, expressing the diversity of the Lanvin man.
Talking about the meaning of love, uncool versus cool and what makes Lanvin what it is.”
Cara Delevingne, the it-girl of fashion is back this Fall for the new DKNY campaign. She is partnering with model Ollie Edwards, and special guest, NYC-based street artist, Curtis Kulig. All three were shot on location in various parts of New York City by renowned fashion photographer Mikael Jansson.
I absolutely love ads that are funny and meaningful. The O2 campaign that just launched this month is just that, very original and fun. Think about it… we should all me more dog, because life is exciting, and great, and there is always something that is worth being positive and loving.
It was before the infamous fall at the Academy Awards…
And before the joke-cracking session after the Oscars-
Jennifer turned out to be a wonderful, sweet person, who is beautiful on the inside and out. Good for Dior for choosing her as their face. I enjoyed Jennifer Lawrence’s funny comment about the Dior campaign, not many celebrities would say that out loud:
“Oh my god, I haven’t seen this. That doesn’t look like me at all. I love Photoshop more than anything in the world. Of course it’s Photoshop, people don’t look like that.”
But photoshop or not she is beautiful and I can’t wait to see what else she will star at.
Remember the crazy sea-creature like collection of Alexander McQueen for Spring/Summer 2012?
So now there is no surprise that the campaign that is promoting this colection is just out of this world. The images are so holy, yet serene, that I feel like framing them and lighting a candle underneath. They are carrying the extraordinary spirit of Lee McQueen and keeping the same wonderfully bizarre silhouettes and textures, completely translated in the campaign shots.
Coco Rocha is sensational for the new spring/summer 2012 campaign for Longchamp. I love that the whole urban summer topic is a continuous trend this season. (remember Karlie Kloss for Free People campaign?) Absolutely love the idea behind the video above, it is so happy and lighthearted. The photos for the campaign are also fabulous. The grace and poise in Coco’s posing are perhaps not the most present elements, but there is a great sense of humour and more than one wink in the photos. Just gotta love it!
Absolutely love the candyland of Louis Vuitton’s spring 2012 campaign.
The collection is so wonderfully soft and girly with the cutout lace and pastel colours, so the prints are in any way fabulously representing the whole feel of it. Plus in the glossies it looks so soft and pink that there is no way you will not stop and look at it.
I love everything from the URBN Inc group and Free People is not an exception. The brand is fresh and the style is cool and vintage-inspired. So when you combine one of my favourite faces from the modleing world – Karlie Kloss, take gorgous Free People outfits and style everything perfectly, with a backdrop nowhere else but the Big Apple, no wonder the SS2012 catalog is worth sharing!
The photographer is also worth noting. Guy Aroch is someone I just discovered and am mesmerized by some of his work. It is all very whimsical and the light is so warm and soft.
In short – great campaign for Free People. Gorgeous shots. Can we go to NYC now?
