After my state of wide eyed, dreamy, OMG-ness from last week when writing about the Coveteur and Chanel, I never thought something better might be posted on their amazing blog. But alas, there is time for a few minutes of true beauty as the Coveteur was invited to 31 Rue Cambon for the Paris-Bombai collection… the result – amazing photographs of amazing pieces in an amazing setting. A dream!
All photographs are courtesy of the Coveteur.
The Coveteur is one of my favourite reads. A daily inspiration source. And of course a site full of amazing lust-worthy fashion items.
The latest post is all about Chanel! And to be more specific RARE CHANEL pieces. So teary eyed, and gasping at every image, I am sharing my favourites with you. Be sure to check the post on the Coveteur for the rest of die-worthy pieces. Pure amazingness, that can only Chanel create!
I am a book lover, and when it comes to christmas list, there is nothing better than receiving books. Especially amazingly pretty books about Chanel!
Presented in the label’s signature quilted leather and adorned with the famous double ‘C’, François Baudot and François Aveline’s ‘Chanel Luxe’ trilogy is the ultimate collector’s item for lovers of the iconic French fashion house. With three books exploring Fine Jewelry, Perfume and Coco herself, these wonderful volumes are a testament to the incomparable achievements and history of the brand. This wonderful book can be purchased, for the mere €560 at Net-A-Porter.
So here we go again Santa.
There are so many wonderful pieces in all the Spring Summer 2012 collections. Colours, trends, textures, silhouettes, an endless variety of pieces that make us dream of fashion. But then if you have to choose one piece for a very special occasion, what do you do? It is so hard to narrow down to one very special piece, so I did my best and narrowed to three. Here are my top three dresses from the Spring Summer 2012 Collections. Chanel

“I want to see the images of my imagination”
Business of Fashion published an exclusive interview with Chanel’s mastermind. Karl talks with Imran Amed about fashion, media, internet and the world…
Love the ending- “Facebook is a flawless object…it’s for me like a Brancusi.”
Can we talk about perfection? Variety? How about classic with a twist?
I read about Chanel’s press day on The Clothes Whisperer some time ago, and now Red Carpet Fashion Awards are also posting images and impressions from this grand event – Chanel’s press day for Spring Summer 2011…
And all I can do is LUST… and share of course, so the lust and aspirational desire can be passed forward. Enjoy!
This one is my fave!!
- Chanel flats
- Christian Louboutin stilettos
- Manolo Blahniks
- Jimmy Choo pumps
I’m excited! Can I have the Chanels please? 🙂
What is more of a staple than the little black dress? Simple, elegant, versatile… a piece that is more than a “must”, it is an iconic and classy “go-to” item. My friends make fun of me, because I own more than a couple of LBDs, but to be honest it is the one thing that is completely worth investing in. A little black dress is great for work, party, cocktail, dinner with friends, day, night, evening… basically think of an event and you can wear the coveted LBD. If you don’t know what to wear… well you know the answer.
It is all about accessorizing, so you can make it own and stand out. Necklaces, scarves, brooches, belts, tights…the little black dress is an empty canvas that can be manipulated to fit any style and occasion. But indeed the dress itself is so very important too. The main feature is timelessness. So it should be clean and classic; great fabric and perfect cut are essential too!
Here are some choices…
