David Beckham is Sexy for H&M

David Beckham is a sexy man! No doubt! (ok, yes, when he is with his mouth shut, because when he talks the hotness is fast cooling down, but still… a sexy man nevertheless!)

David Beckham in underwear, even sexier! The hot news are that David’s men’s bodywear collection for H&M will be in stores February 2nd. And seriously where was the buzz about this collection before the photos came out?! I feel like I have missed out on the preparation for it and the hot photo session for PR just hit me without notice. But still… Not a bad hit at all.

David said about the collection: “I always want to challenge myself and this was such a rewarding experience for me. I’m very happy with the end result and I hope H&M’s male customers will be as excited as I am.” I can add… not only the male customers, David, we girl can appreciate great male undies too.

And as H&M will be in Bulgaria very, very soon, the news about the collaboration make me even happier. David’s underwear extravaganza is pretty simple and looks very classy. Would not mind if my BF wears some of the pieces (Valentine’s Day gift ideas ladies!) Can’t wait till H&M is here, I only hope they carry the designer collaboration collections. Hopes and dreams are good, right?!

The Full collection can be found on the Vogue.co.uk site.

Seriously, H&M?

I have been excited since June for the Versace H&M collaboration, and it is finally here! Vogue.com showed images of the collection and to be honest I was left breathless at how horrendous and kitschy everything is! In June Donatella was talking about classic Versace moments and being sexy, but honestly there are one too many studs, blings, palm trees and horrific animal prints in neon colors! If this collection was shown on Project Runway, I am sure the judges will say the designer has a “questionable level of taste”. And I am questioning Donatella’s taste as well as H&M for this fiasco of a collection.

So let’s see what I am talking about- bright orange, neon pink leopard print, with embellishments and print of a tropical sunset surrounded by classical elements in bright yellow. It is a WTF! Who will wear this dress? And just the description of it makes me laugh out loud.

I can’t even describe the next pieces in words. For me the only word is kitschy.

But it is not all horrendous, there are a couple of pieces that are actually cute, or as Donatella says – very sexy. They are both black with studs, with a decent level of taste but nit really shining with any innovation in the design area-

So there you go, there is always a silver lining in black.

To be honest can’t wait to see how many people will queue in anxious anticipation for this disaster of a collection and buy a piece. Perhaps there will be a lot of neon palm prints left over in the stockrooms of H&M or not really, just because it is a designer label at a decent price. I am very interested to see what other people think of it.

Uncle Karl for Macy’s!

Is there something that Uncle Karl can’t do?! Chanel, H&M, Diet Coke bottle designs, commercials for magnum,  and now it is time for my fave department store – Macy’s! WWD reported The Karl Lagerfeld for Impulse collection will be in stores and on www.macys.com at the very end of August and will  have 45 limited edition styles and an average price tag of $100, with items in the range from $50 to $170.

His creativity and genius is neverending, and from the sketch that is out for PR reasons it seems the class of his designs is still in place. Way to go! I am very excited for the collection and can’t wait to see more! Such co-branding will more than fabulous to Macy’s too! We all know the hours-waits and mile-long lines that accompany these collaborations of high-end designers and normal people stores.

Surprise, Surprise! Versace for H&M

After Lanvin last year, and many others, including Uncle Karl, before that, H&M has chosen the next designer collaboration they will present.

The verdict – no other than Versace.

Donatella says that they will use iconic Versace pieces of iconic Versace moments. The collection is promised to look glamorous, so we shall wait and see… Everything that is Versace is quite loud and kitschy, at least for my taste, so we shall see what the collaboration of the two brands will turn out to be. One is sure… it will be affordable and there will be lines in front of the stores.

So I just wanna share that Donatella cracks me up.  It was leather… with studs… “Very sexy”… lol.
