There is nothing better than a gorgeous fashion advert to make your day. It is interesting to see the many faces of fashion, and how creativity can make an ad campaign catchy. Lanvin is one of the best in advertising their creations. The new campaign is a bit psychotic but lots of fun, playing on the notions of love, cool and the pronunciation of the french brand. It cracks me up when the tattooed guys say “A lot of my english friends say Lanvin” (pronounced Lahnven). It needs balls to be able to make fun of yourself and not take it that seriously, especially when you a high fashion brand.
And of course they have a lady with a goose and guy with a rabbit in the video. What fashion video ad can go without a goose I am asking you 🙂
The description of the video is:
“One woman can have many faces.
Edie Campbell explored six sides of her imaginary self, portraying the diversity of the Lanvin woman.”
“A self Portrait. Six different men with diverse points of view, expressing the diversity of the Lanvin man.
Talking about the meaning of love, uncool versus cool and what makes Lanvin what it is.”
The Golden Globes took place last night, and although I didn’t have the stamina to stay awake a watch, the first thing I did this morning was to google all the dresses and read the reviews on the blogs I follow. The verdict not that amazing to be honest. Out of everything the most dresses were either nude or mermaid style gowns, some were mermaid style nude gowns. My top 5 are basically the five I really, really like… everything else is either blah or in dire need of a new stylist.
Gotta love Alber Elbaz! This is probably the most ridiculous and fun fashion ad of the year. Alber Elbaz dancing along models Karen Elson and Raquel Zimmermann is basically one of the most amazing things I have seen lately! Plus the beat of Calle Ocho and the clothes are fabulously clashing to create a hot mess, but I love it! This is what taking yourself not too seriously means, and you go Alber for that!
It is almost here!! Lanvin’s Collection for H&M is almost in stores. But before the coveted November 23rd is here we can salivate while looking at the gorgeous photos H&M uploaded on their Facebook page. Make sure you take a look for yourself! Also one of my fave bloggers DisneyRollerGirl posted pictures from the UK preview so make sure you check them out too. 🙂
The only thing I am really hoping is that these clothes are as exquisite and high quality on the hangers in stores as they look on the pictures on Facebook! Here are my faves:
Architectural designs, saturated colors, belted looks… what is there not to love?!
J’adore this tee!!! It is so badass!
Love it or hate it the fur vest is here to stay this winter. I just hope they don’t come alive at night to haunt us for our fashion decisions…
